Intern Credential (Scholar+ Year 2)

In order to lead-teach during Year 2 of the Scholar+ Pathway, Fellows will work with their Alliant University Advisor and Credential Analyst to ensure that the following requirements are met.

Standard Internship Requirements:

1. Complete 120 hours of pre-service fulfilled through Alliant’s 8-week online pre-service course (EDU62030) and engage in 32 weeks of clinical practice as the teacher of record in the classroom.

2. Provide an Offer of Employment letter.

3. Hold a position as a Teacher-Of-Record.

4. Have a minimum 0.6 FTE appointment for 32 weeks.

5. Teach in a WASC accredited public or charter school with an approved MOU.

6. Obtain a CTC Certificate of Clearance.

7. If not covered by coursework, pass the US Constitution Exam to demonstrate competency.

8. Present negative TB test results.

9. Submit a Signed Statement of Release form.

10. Verify passing the subject-matter-appropriate California Subject Examination for Teachers (CSET) or obtain a Single Subject matter equivalency letter from a CCTC-approved California University in the appropriate subject area before starting student teaching or a teaching internship.
